I wish my Kindle would do this. Then it would last FOREVER.

I had a logitech keyboard before it worked fine I had to change it when I upgraded my machine as it did not support the newer one.The price tag of 80 $ seems a bit high but everything that is solar powered is quite costly.
15 years & can run without light for 3 months seems nice. This keyboard seems to also be comfortable to the hands. This is what you say an investment you will profit if the keyboard does work for 15 or close to 15 years.

This is brilliant idea. It would be nice to embed solar batteries in netbooks.

Hmmm solar keyboard? i wonder how well does it work. Do you have to stick the keyboard under direct sunlight? How bright does a regular home light need to be to be able to charge the keyboard? How long does it take to charge? It's still too new of a tech and not as useful as a rechargeable usb. I am living in arizona and there is no way I want my room to have any sunlight in it. Do you know how hot it is here? LOL

Green, enviromentally friendly technology has to be adopted in other more power consuming devices like laptops for instance! Think of a solar panel on the rear of every laptops screen! Anyway, logitech took a little step forward.

This sounds pretty interesting. I'm on my 2nd wireless mouse/keyboard combo from Logitech and couldn't be happier. I think the first I bought from them was the old MX700 rechargeable mouse way back in like 2002.

I have always liked solar cells, i try to be "green" any way that I can. I like the idea of putting solar cells on electronics, however i feel that they could take it further by putting them on the lids of laptops or any other unused surface areas such as around the keys or screen. I would be willing to sacrifice weight for longer battery life and a cleaner environment as i'm sure other wouldn't mind either.

Great! Now I can bring this during Father and Son Campings!
  10. The wireless solar keyboard Κ750 from Logitech is a very important ecological innovation showing a likely future trend. Its ergonomic design and its small thickness are also two important features.

It supports all the known Windows versions (XP, VISTA, 7).
Obviously, it does'nt support Bluetooth technology.

Is operation is based on a small rechargable battery which is included in the keyboard and charged through the solar panels of the keyboard, even with an internal room or desk light.

We look forward to seeing similar products from other companies, as well as its price fall!
