Loud can QX6700

I mean fan.

My QX6700 with stock Intel fan is loud.

I have used ThermalTake CPU paste but it's still loud.

What do I do?

Buy a new cooler, if Q fan is enabled it will speed up as your cpu needs it.

Applying better TIM will not help fan noise. You need a new cooler as supersmashbrada suggested. Try getting one with the potential for both active and passive cooling, like the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme.

I have Q-FAN enabled for a reason... without it the fan runs at max speed which is stupidly fast!
