  1. Hey Guys!

Whenever I play a video on my low End PC, I get this Machine Check Exception Error with a "blue screen" to go with it.

My PC runs on a Biostar CRU51-M7 Board (Nvidia chipset), TwinMos 512 MB DDR-400 (with 64MB shared for video), and AMD Sempron 2500+ Processor.

will appreciate any help. Thanks :)

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

The error message you`re getting means the following.

    0x0000009C: MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION

This is a hardware issue: an unrecoverable hardware error has occurred. The parameters have different meanings depending on what type of CPU you have but, while diagnostic, rarely lead to a clear solution. Most commonly it results from overheating, from failed hardware (RAM, CPU, hardware bus, power supply, etc.), or from pushing hardware beyond its capabilities (e.g., overclocking a CPU).

Go HERE and follow the instructions.

If that doesn`t help. You need to diagnose which hardware is causing the problem.
