many blue screens lately

OK every so often lately i have been getting blue screens. When i boot my computer and log in, right after ATI control center catalyst loads it will sometimes go into blue screen. Also whenever i go into mozilla firefox i hold the risk of a blue screen. It happens very frequently and just now it happened right after exiting firefox, when i restarted my computer and went back into firefox my homepage and all my settings went back to the defaults, as if i just installed it. There are a few different types of screens i get and i forgot to write down the code, but the last one i got was 0x00007e. I don't know how to access the log so i cannot supply that. thanks for the time.
