Mic issue

hi my name is shaun and i have a mic issue im running realtek hd audio my issue is my mic wont work for online gameing (battlefield 2) when i talk i here my self in the speakers and it wont transmit in the game the game has a key to press to talk but that dont make a difference i always here my self i can here my friends and they can see im trying to talk but nothing but my voice back at me lol .......... i cant figure it out please any info that you may have to help let me know......

Does the Mic work correctly outside games, like in Messenger or AIM?
