Mic not working

I'm using DFI Lanparty UT3200, and NZXT Lexa case. Case has mic out on front and mic oulet on back in mob. No mic in game play halflife mods. When trouble shooting there is no sound coming from mic. This could be a hardware or software issue. I used the mic on other (older) computer and it is in working condition. Mic was working when I first built this system. Anyone else have problems with this cases mic outlet?
