Microphone problems

alright, my old headset broke so today i picked up the Audio FX force feedback pc gaming headset and when i try to use the mic theres a large white noise that drownds out my voice, microphone isnt muted, line in isnt muted, microphone is selected mic and line in are maxed and my soundcard is a soundblaster X-Fi Fatal1ty

and yes its plugged into the right spot

That sound card is amazing. Maybe you should return that headset and get a new one. Logitech is good. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16826106931

That one is pretty cheap so no biggies if it doesn't work. :unch:

id much rather use this headset, anyone know how to get the mic working? i dont ahve time to go back to the store i bought it >.>
