... and then you take 1000 small files to copy from one folder to another and it will show you that it will take 133243245354646456 seconds and it is copying at speed 0.0 KB/s
it is only one registry record which does that requirement. as usually.LOL
The hackers will need less than one month to find a workaround for the updates on unsupported PC. Probably some kind of emulated TPM 2.0 or something else.
I vote to vent Cliff for being sus. When Windows 8 came out I said I would never support Windows 8. I haven't. Never in MS history have I been so angry towards them. I'm finished. This machine and OS will be my last MS product. If I ever decide to build another PC, it will not have a Windows OS on it.
They didn't say but we all know why - to force you to upgrade both hardware and Windows. Less hardware to support = easier to maintain, it's a both a good and a bad thing.Microsoft seems to be encouraging users to upgrade their hardware to take advantage of these optimizations, and there's no explanation as to why it can't backport most of them to Windows 10.
I was actually afraid they would keep their word in that regard, I never was a fan of Windows 10 and hoped they would continue making new versions cause one day they'll get it right.Microsoft lied to us they said windows 10 been last os , only update .
Software is never completed it's only released.Only one year to work out the Win11 bugs? Keep in mind that with every update Windows 10 introduces new bugs while patching old ones. It seems to be a never ending cycle. I don't expect any OS to ever be bug free.
It's only different in the name.Microsoft lied to us they said windows 10 been last os , only update .
lol What?!Using Microsoft's numbers, approved hardware crashes 0.2% of the time, while older hardware crashes 0.3% of the time.
I'll let that sink in.
The only reason I boot into windows these days is for online games with DRM that doesn't work with linux. Needless to say, they basically all do these days. The only other game I'm sort of interested in right now is final fantasy 14. Which, now that I think about it, I might download and see how it plays with linuxI'm really interested in the new Steam OS. I will give it a solid try and maybe won't se Windows anymore - tbh games and a couple of other apps I already invested in are the only reason to stick to Windows for me. But I can do without bloatware, monitoring, required settings, lack of control about my os.
Yeah but.....graphs!Using Microsoft's numbers, approved hardware crashes 0.2% of the time, while older hardware crashes 0.3% of the time.
I'll let that sink in.
Microsoft lied? OMFG! That's something that they've never done before!Microsoft lied to us they said windows 10 been last os , only update .
Then you've never used MS-DOS 3.3 because that OS was 100% bug-free. Then they came out with MS-DOS 4.0 and that was the end of that.Only one year to work out the Win11 bugs? Keep in mind that with every update Windows 10 introduces new bugs while patching old ones. It seems to be a never ending cycle. I don't expect any OS to ever be bug free.
This "negativity" is only truly unexplainable for newbies who haven't seen this play out since Windows 95. For everyone who has been around since the days of MS-DOS, this "negativity" has another name; "realism".Lots of whining over a free update with improvements. Windows 10 is not going anywhere in a long time if you don't meet the requirements.
This negativity is truly unexplainable. You can always buy those Macs or install Linux - it's a free world.
Don't be an early adopter. Keep using 10 until the word is out on 11. Trusting the words of Microsoft is akin to trusting a crack addict with your sister.I just built a new computer for 2021, so I am ready for a new OS as well. I just pray that Windows 11 is as good as Windows 10 was to me.
What play? This is a free upgrade right and you can use Windows 10 if you don't want to buy new hardware? Even your explanation is, that to understand the bashing of Microsoft people should have been around back in the nineties, so basically you don't even offer an explanation, because there is none. The hating and bashing for the sake of it is one explanation I tend to believe in, since companies always market their stuff by exaggerating and anybody's favourite company is no different. Power up your Mac and chill out is what I recommend. This "negativity" is only truly unexplainable for newbies who haven't seen this play out since Windows 95. For everyone who has been around since the days of MS-DOS, this "negativity" has another name; "realism".

Well the idea would be at some point the game would only run when in a fully trusted os.What stops cheater from never upgrading to win11?
