Windows AND the EU are bloated enough, thanks anyway....!
  2. I think it's quite fair to give the user the option to have IE as their main browser.. I think MS should remove it completely and make it an install option that way it will be one less over bloated piece of software your forced to have on your system..it will free up some resources too!!!
Oh to the user that mentioned Chrome OS.. I really don't think that's the same now is it mate.. it's not going to have a massive share of the market as it's designed for low cpu powered netbooks and handhelds.. plus it's going to be open source which means it'll basically be free..

Oh come on, a web browser in an intrinsic part of any modern OS, it's indispensable!. Doesn't anybody get that? If you don't like IE, just don't use it. Windows update works with IE. M$ shouldn't have to pander to other browser manufacturers to properly service their own OS update system. If you want to surf for porn, install Firefox. If you're too stupid to invest some time into learning about the machine you depend on most in the modern world, why does the EU feel it necessary to pretend they're pandering to a bunch of imbeciles, when what they really want to do is pocket billions of Euros of M$'s money.

They should take off their fake white hat, grow a collective pair, and create a tax structure capable of dealing with a monopoly. Then, survival of the fittest will take care of the *****s who use IE to surf porn, and nobody need show any fake pity, fake compassion, and fake concern. With the law of the jungle, no lawyers are required to enforce it.

The "touchy, feely" nature of modern society has become bizarre. Ahh, there are some people who aren't readfy for DTV. WTV, if you can hook up a VCR, you can hook up a converter box. So, in addition 5 years prior notice to get ready for the DTV conversion, we've had 30+ years of VCR technology. Now, where does, or should "poor things aren't ready" factor into this equation. Or for that matter, poor things that can't be bothered to learn about alternative browsers.

I'm suspicious that converter box coupons were sold to buy crack. I mean I can walk out my front door and watch food stamps being sold for crack. Should we stop the world if those individuals don't know about alternative browsers either? Maybe we should fine Microsoft?
