    This is dumb, not to offer the complete set of MS-DOS versions, 1.0 - 8.0, as if it could possibly compromise security anywhere, why even bother than?

    MS-Word 1.0 - I don't think it will have much interest from anybody, because modern editing libraries are years ahead of that ancient Word engine.

    A strange move. If they wanted to make a statement, they missed it.

    I agree @VitalyT!

    They could release all DOS versions, as well as Windows 1 to 3.11 versions, and hardly anyone would care.

    I feel like it has something to do with leftover legacy code from earlier MSDOS in XP.
