I'd be more than happy to pay for Windows 8 provided they streamlined their code, and made the beast leaner and meaner. I appreciate the fact that code modules save a lot of time but some of that code is as old as the BIOS itself... I'm not asking them to start from scratch, but some areas could definitely be rewritten and simplified. Perhaps even something as simple as modular downloads or something akin? Ex: You purchase a stripped version of the OS for cheap (50-100$); you don't care a bit about making movies, so you don't download that module. But you do want a way to categorize photos and automate tasks, so you just download them for a couple bucks each from MS. A la carte operating systems?

Frankly i dint like the look and interface of Win 7 so dont know how win 8 would be?
I still prefer fast and simple to use with old commands intant in Win XP. Win XP 64bit still a preferable choice for me. Simplicity and user-friendly with customization is the way to go. I still prefer the classic Programs menu, desktop, toolbars, quicklaunch bars and much more which gave us same feeling of Win98 in XP :)

(Apologies to Gene" Roddenberry, Wm Shatner and Deforest Kelley)
Just wouldn't make the neat fx in movies like Minority Report or series like Caprica.

Wow, how did I not see this a few days ago. Windows 7 was fantastic in my opinion. Windows 8 Id expect to be twice as good with the way they've been progressing. ;D

Well I hope they can make as many improvements as they did coming from vista to seven.
