Something "fried" but I don't know eactly which. When moving some hardware, evidently a memory bar became unseated. Anyway, I smelled something burning and it was too late, and there was a little smoke.
The memory bar in the first slot was loose and showed physical damage so I am sure it started there. Apparently it may not have even been "clicked" into postion becasue the bar was secured with a gel (from manfacture)
Now the CPU fans will only start for 2-3 seconds, then nothing. No beeps or anything.
How can I tell if it is just the MOBO (I already tried replacing the memory with same results), or maybe some other hardware (power supply?).
I think that the memory slot probably is damaged, therefore, the MOBO is the culprit. Is there a good source for info, concerning problems with memory installation concerns >
