Monitor shuts off

I had someone give me a dell E228WFPc monitor and it just shut off after a period of time and has to be turned off with the on/off switch and turned back on to get it to work. The longer it stays off the longer it works and when it turns off and is turned immediately back on it only stays on for a few minutes.

Yeah, usually this is something that is wrong with the internal circuitry. I've had it happen to me too, exact same symptoms. Not usually something you can fix unless you're patient and savvy enough haha.

Two Solutions for that:
Either it demands a change of battery or it require a change of graphic card.

A monitor needs a change of battery? Well OK...
