Well I have the 40gb too, download demos to try (before I buy the overpriced $60 full version) and if you like the demo you can leave it on your harddrive. Just these Demos fill up the 40gb harddrive. Then if you want to have movies, tv shows, pictures, and music (like I have on mine) you really need an upgrade. I upgraded my 40gb to 320 gb Seagate momentus. Works like a charm.

And what you fail to state is that its 2009, not 1979 with computers that fill entire rooms. As each year passes hardware gets smaller and smaller.

the ps3 is like the ps2 i had a ps2 and it stopped working my cousin has a slim ps2 and he still has it [his had it for a long time] my friend had a ps3 it did the same thing it stopped working one year later so he bought the slim when it first came out it still works.
