    what is the best way to tag all my mp3 in my collection using ID3 tagging without having to pay for a musicmatch key or something like that?

    Here is a couple of free programs which allows you to play around with id3 tags...
    The GodFather as reviewed on TechTv...

    If neither of these are to your liking, here is a google search which turned up these and quite a few more...

    Here is one called MusicBrainz which tries to match up ID3 tags for you. Used it on iTunes imported mp3s and it did a not bad job..
