An Nvidia graphics chip would make it better.

This laptop looks really beefy, but why the low resolution? Here's hoping MSI will change it to at least 1680x1050.

Low resolution? This laptop has more than enough resolution for me as that's the same thing I have in this Dell laptop I'm using now. The LED backlit screen is totally awesome (in my Dell) and I'm sure this one will be just as bright. I can read web pages in full daylight albeit not with the light coming from behind me since the screen is of the glossy type.

I do agree with fida1989 that an Nvidia chip would make it much the sweeter. ... I do miss my Nvidia chipset in my Dell Studio 1555 with only a built-in Intel. Some games lag a bit even at 2.1gHz core2duo w/4GB RAM.

This MSI having GB ethernet, bluetooth and eSata are also fantastic to have. I very much miss my bluetooth on this Dell.

kudos MSI for an excellent looking system.

Tigris seems like a decent performing platform. Tigris and Tegra sound way too much alike! Whichever came up with their name last, should have thought about it a little more.

this is a mainsteam multimedia laptop, it can play blu-ray 1080p out the HDMI, so it doesnt matter what screen it has bultin, the HDMI port can even output DVI when using a HDMI>DVI adapter

the ATi Radeon HD 4200 graphics chip can decode all blu-ray codecs and resolution it even supports dual 1080p video steams and picture-in-picture

CR610 laptop has a Athlon II based cpu, a chipset based on desktop 785G and has ATI Radeon HD 4200 IGP graphics built into the chipset, that makes roadkill out of any intel IGP

it has ralink 11n, eSATA, ExpressCard and Card Reader, and the price is around 436 euro

battery life is around 2,5-3 hours depending on your startup programs, antivirus, flash/video playback and your usage pattern

given the fact i have this laptop and i like it, the performance of the M300 2ghz cpu is around a desktop Athlon 64 X2 5000+ at 2.6ghz
  6. The CR610 by MSI is simply an awesome notebook, i got my CR610 for £329.99. It has everything i could want from a multimedia notebook. The LED backlit 16 HD widescreen display is simply awesome and does dvds and hd videos justice. The ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics card is dedicated with 256mb memory and works pretty well with most games and makes hd videos look nice and crisp. The AMD processor is also a hefty piece of kit. All in all this is the best multimedia notebook pc i have ever seen with Windows 7 Home Premium for the price. 9.5/10.
