I've already read all the forums on this topic but...if i system restore wont that delete absolutly everything? And then i'll be screwed....

No it won't, if ur talking about the Windows XP System Restore function.

Exactly, it won't delete anything. It'll just restore the registry as it was in the date you are restoring to. Many things might stop working though.
