for the last two days my pc has been unusable. I got to click on a program, any program and it hangs for maybe 30 seconds and then begins opening mulitple (i.e.: 30-50+) copies of whatever the program is (ie, excel, word, peachtree - anything). I then get the low on virtual memory message. I usually then re-boot.

yesterday I was able to run an norton live update and scan as well as a malwarbytes scan, which worked one time previously when this happenned (the only other time it happenned).

The one time today I was able to get into a program (peachtree accounting), the program began rapidly repeating a transaction I did several days ago - a simple journal posting - over and over again in rapid fire - not posting multiple times, but just tabbing through the fields rapid fire.

Any ideas? Sound like a virus or some odd hardware problem?

    Thanks.

Sounds like your enter key is stuck?

I know this sounds silly, but try a different keyboard.
