##my Comp Keeps Restarting 3 To 4 Times B4 It Gets To Desktop!!##

i need some help!!!!!

Recently my computer is experiencing problems, in which when i start the PC it loads up to the desktop then, the monitor goes down n it just stops loading. this happens about 3 to 4 times and then it works fine. but i still get an error message sayin 'windows has recovered from a serious error.'

i have replaced my RAM and my Graphics Card and upgraded my computer to Windows XP Home Ed with Service Pack 2, but i still experience problems.

128 RAM
Geforce 4 MX

Are you getting Blue screen errors just before it turns off, it may be software/hardware incompatibility.

First thing to do would be to go to Control Panel/System/Advanced/Startup and Recovery and uncheck re-boot on errors...

CPU overheating, maybe. Check for Overclocking.

Try booting the system with the case off and a fan blowing into the computer. If this helps, your system or CPU is overheating.

Make sure the CPU and memory are not being overclocked in the BIOS.

Did the problems start after you changed the card and RAM? Was it an added memory module? Check the seating of the card & memory.
