My Compaq CQ41 wont start up

When I'm using it half way it went blank screen, just in time I have to go out. So I leave it with the AC port in and left the house. After a couple hours, I came back home and all I see was a blank screen. I moved the mouse, click some keys on the keyboard, it remains blank. I pulled out tje ac port and turn it back on, it remains blank. Just a black screen, nothing comes out.

Is it screen or is it gpu/computer? Test with external monitor. If external works, issue is with screen or power to screen.

Power to screen issue is indicated if under bright light you can see shadowed display on screen.

If not screen then maybe bad battery? Remove battery and then try AC power only.

If none of above, maybe BIOS.. remove all power, press and hold "power on" button for 30 seconds to drain all power, attach power and check for operation

You can try changing RAM to single stick or moving it around if two slots

Check YouTube for videos on your model of laptop.

If none of the above, you need repair shop.
