A text Source company offering to remove errors remotely controlled my computer and now after 1 minute or less it shuts down after giving a warning "you are about to be signed out". I have recovery media on CDs but it would not load or boot the computer and the drive I am sure is still ok. For 10 seconds I can see the files on the recovery disk in Windows file Explorer but I don't know what to click and if I click on a file it has to be fast. I can enter Bios and I can set the computer to boot from CD first but it just would not do it. I cannot do a system restore to an earlier date because the computer shuts down too fast. Can I do something with the BIOS settings. I really don't want to lose my laptop it is an HP r264dx Windows 8.1 64-bit

I think your system is corrupted.
I didn't set the boot option properly. When I booted from CD I was able to recover the computer from discs- it would not recover from the hard drive. My system is corrupted because of aliens and an attempt to harm them.
