My games are not working!!

I have changed graphics cards from a fx5200, to a ati9500 (overclocked to a 9700) and have had the same problem on most of my games. I have the lastest Direct X drivers, and all my other hardware is up to date.


Most of my games just minimize and will not come back up, or if they do the computer crashes.

Do as zephead has said it seem to me that you are overclocking it to much.

Cheers for the advice but i had the same prob with me fx5200 which was not overclocked.

Any chance you have some background apps running that are using too many system resources?

Try shutting down all background apps...

run your CURRENT GPU at standard speed. you have a problem with your radeon, not the nvidia.

Thanks for the post, i have Norton Firewall 2003 installed, and a couple of drivers. I have 768ram and 1.50ghz cpu.

Would this interfear?
