My mate has a Packard Bell and I need to open it to add an ethernet connection

Yikes, my first thoughts are to drop the Packard Bell pc from a height.
I tried to remove the case from a PB PC and was unable to do so. Is there an easy way to do this? I'm assuming that there is a sliding panel or some other Harry Potter Hogwarts type of action needed. All advice appreciated.

I think you are just going to have to sit down, grab a beer, and look at it for a bit. The covers do come off I've had similar expierence with computers before where it doesn't look like there is any way the case comes off, but eventually you can figure it out.

Remove any screws that are visible on the front, or elsewhere. Look for anything that might be removable by sliding or unscrewing, or any covers that may be hiding screws. As you didn't post a pic of the PC in question we can only guess.
