My Mic is being weird

Hey guys, I need help on this situation. My headset is a Razer barracuda hp-1, Which has a mic on it. Well Recently I had to reinstall windows, But I had my mic working fine before but I forgot what I did...And btw, I'm using a Realtek Hd

This is the problem, When I try to record with my mic, It records the sounds from Youtube, Or Ventrillo, But it doesn't record my voice. Like If i play music on my computer it picks that up, but not my voice. Please help me on this much much appreciated!!

Wait a minute. Please clarify.

I'm guessing you mean to say "your sound card" records the sounds from Youtube, Or Ventrillo. And your mic doesn't record your voice (or any other sound via the mic, yes?)

As having difficulty thinking it records other sounds via the mic but doesn't pickup your voice

One thing to check in general... Go to control panel, sound and i forget exactly where (probably under an Advanced Property) but find the check box that allows an application exclusive use of the mic.UNCHECK it. Sounds like might be related to your problem

My mic does not record my voice, but when I record my voice it can pick up the sounds from the computer, youtube, ventrillo etc.

I can't find that check box XD
You have realtek high def you said?
Did you look under something similar to Control Panel->Sound->Microphone Properties->Advanced

My mic does not record my voice, but when I record my voice it can pick up the sounds from the computer, youtube, ventrillo etc.
What?? Is it me? or isn't that sentence repeating the same contradiction i asked?

Go to control panel -> sounds and audio devices.
1.Click the advanced button right below the volume slide.
2. Once thats up, select Options (top left), click properties.
3. On the drop down menu select Realtek HD Audio Input (or whatever it calls your input device).
4. Check all of the options in the lower box and hit ok. Make sure everything but Recording and Mic Volume are muted, then exit.

If this doesn't work, let me know.
