  1. im really trying to debate on which cpu i should get. the choices im going back and forth in-between are:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103484

    and

    http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1700143&CatId=1950

They both seem really great, and idk which one i would rather buy, im not thinking about the money, its only 20$ difference, but i want to know what will be better in the long run. I have a asus k8v-se motherboard and its a 754 socket like both of those processors. currently i have the amd 2800+, I also need help choosing a decent heatsink. thanks -Nick

I would go with the 3400+ just for the larger L2 memory cache. Are you planning on overclocking? If not, then the fan/heatsink combo that comes with the processor will be sufficient.

What will you be using it for? This may affect your decision.
