Need Help....no power...

  1. Ok my brain is stressed..I have everything put together but there is no power to any thing......what did I miss...or do wrong. I went over every thing 3 times, checked to make sure everything is plugged in to where it is suppose to be and still nothing...HELP!

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

    Make sure that the psu switch on the back of the computer is in the on position. I know, but it can be overlooked.

    Check that you connected the front power switch to the correct pins on the mobo.

    Check that there is nothing shorting the mobo against the case. You did use the standoffs between the mobo and case didn`t you?

    If all that checks out ok. Maybe try a different psu.

    yes, the psu switch on the back of the case needs to be turned on, on is when the " l " is pushed down.

    did that

    I made sure that the I was where it needed to be and still nothing....checked all the conections inside too

    I tried a power supply that I know works and still nothing....

    In that case I suggest you may have a faulty mobo.

    RMA the mobo and see if the replacment is ok.

    No Power

    Thanks Howard.....not what I wanted to hear but was thinking that it might be that.

    Thanks again Howard, took the mob back and it was dead...had them test the replacement and it worked there.
