Okay, so i have just baught myself 2 sticks of "Geil DDR2 1GB PC6400 CAS5 duel channel RAM" But when i place it in my computer i get constant long beeps, which according to my motherboard manual means DRAM error, so i tried both sticks in single channel mode (slot 1 and 3) and it works, i cant seem to get dual channel working at all.

I've read up on it and ive heard about setting the speeds and voltage on the bios higher, because i have an old PSU.

But i have no way of knowing how to do so or even if that is the problem.

Could anyone help me?

I have a gigabyte ga-m57sli-s4 motherboard

PLEASE!

You will only receive dual channel from a motherboard that is set up for dual channel. I just looked that board up and it does not indicate that it has a dual channel mode. Ram that sells as "dual channel memory" misleads people. It means that the two enclosed ram modules CAN be used in dual configuration. If your board supported dual channel: dimms #1 & #3 would be dual channel mode. DIMM #'s 1 & 2 = ch. 'A'. #'s 3 & 4 = ch. 'B'.
