Need help with sata setup.

  1. i using laptop compag , it used hdd sata but i don't have Fdd Ext for setup driver :( ...... i want to use sata ...:grinthumb

    i hear can use usb for setup driver sata .... but i don't known to do .... please hep me !! thank

    I assume you want to install Windows 2000/XP....

    In the BIOS setup you may be able to set the SATA (AHCI) controller to IDE/legacy/compatibility mode so WIndows will recognise it as a normal IDE controler. No floppy needed.

    Another option would be to make a custom Windows install CD with SATA drivers slipstreamed. SInce you are asking the question, this may be a bit difficult for you.

    i want install windows server 2003 , i don't known it support win 2003 ??
