I had some kind of virus on my PC that was running windows '98. The virus was telling the computer to do many tasks, so many that the computer could not respond to any comands. I decided to put a new OS (XP Pro) to solve the problem. The OS installed ok but for some reason I can not log on to the Internet. All the settings are correct, and the computer is recognizing my modem but no Internet connection. Could the virus have anything to do with this. If anyone has any suggestions on what I should do I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
