Hi!

So I'm now trying to OC a friends computer but I can't change the multipler and when I change the bus speed (or what ever it's called) from 200 (default) to say 220 it also changes the memory speed and HT speed.

So what should or how can a lower the HT speed and memory speed so that if I set the bus speed to (ex.) 250 the memory would still run @ ~200MHz (according to CPU-z)..?

MOBO: A-S78H
CPU: AMD Athlon 4450e

Overclocking a system with a locked multiplier is much harder than a system with an unlocked BUT it is possible. Moving the bus speed will indeed increase the memory speed in conjunction. An easy "fix" is to downclock the memory before increasing the bus speed. Be sure he has adequate cooling and to keep in mind that the 4450e is a low power chip and not meant for high performance operation.

Tread very carefully. Hope this was of some help!

I have got it up to ~2850MHz but I now need an other gfx card...so to be continued... :D
