    My resume is in .wps....

    C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Resume.wps

....Employers are asking for one of the following:

    Microsoft Word - .doc
Rich Text - .rtf (This format is recommended for Mac users)
    Text - .txt
    Microsoft PowerPoint - .ppt
    PDF File - .pdf
Image Files - .gif, .jpg or .bmp

how do I change it? Thanks!

works is crap. use openoffice. It is free and far superior to works and highly comparible and compatible to word.

    www.openoffice.org

    Converter...can't open it

Thanks Spike and Tedster. This is awesome, wish I'd known of this long ago!

Tried both options. Right clicking did not help.
Downloded the converter, and do not know how to work it(yes, I am computer illiterate) It is on MyDesktop, and when I double-click it asks me if I want to Run it. When I hit run, it asks if I want to download it(didn't I do that already?) When I right click, and choose Run As...nothing happens.

Delete the file on your desktop and download again.

In the file download box you get these options -

To start the installation immediately, click Open or Run this program from its current location.

To copy the download to your computer for installation at a later time, click Save or Save this program to disk

    Choose the second one.
