Netflix not working

Hi all,
So I recently got a premium account for netflix to watch 4k content on my laptop but for some reason it's not working I don't have a Kaby Lake processor so the video is supposed to work through the GTX 1080 but after a few minutes when the resolution reaches 4k the screen turns black with the sound still running this only happens on 4k content. I have the latest Nvidia drivers installed as well as the latest version of windows I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the HEVC codec but it didn't work does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

On your laptop what is your current screen resolution, also specify your laptop name and model number.
For the codec you shouldn't need divx to get netlfix going, use klite codec pack full version.

That will be enough to get you to be able to see most media.
Netflix depends on silverlight and adobe flash player to work.
Avoid the mcafee crap-ware provided by adobe.
