Hi guys, I've bought a new laptop and after just one day it gives me Bsod. I have checked the hdd for errors and nothing was found. I have attached the mini dump file and I really hope you can help me.
It worked for half a day perfectly and now the same error again. I have a win7/64bit. Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 2057 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: d1 BCP1: 0000000000000028 BCP2: 0000000000000002 BCP3: 0000000000000000 BCP4: FFFFF88001955B2D OS Version: 6_1_7601 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 768_1 Would un-installing Mcaffee and adding KIS help?
Seems to be exactly the same issue, please check on your notebook manufacturer's site whether there is any BIOS update is available, up-date the BIOS by following the instructions. Also do you have this notebook connect with any router? If so disconnect it and see how your system behaves.
I have un-installed Mcaffee, I have Kasperski Internet security now, I have disabled UPnP from my Sky router cause it seems it has some problems as well, no Bsod just some disconnects before disabling the UPnP. The Bios version I have now is Acer 1.11 from 24/05/2011. Should I install v 1.12 and then 1.13 or just 1.13? V1.12 has updates for nvidia, microcode v0000001A for 206A7, intel vbios to 2119 and USB and V1.13 fixes something with the battery. Thank you
That is nice to know and good detective work . My understanding is that each new release have all the older optimizations/fixes included in it, so it would be safe to go to the latest available release of BIOS upgrade.
