No Sound after re-install XP-Home

Hi there, i would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me out here...

I have a Fujitsu Siemens re-installed XP-home, re-instal fine but now have no sound. Have checked all devices working fine and enabled sound appers to be playing on my media player but nothing through the desktop or monitor speakers.

Have tested speakers working and drivers are installed, updated and wizard says i have latest drivers. So i wos wondein if anyone can help,

is the sound card not reinstalled? or somethin else and how i would go about fixin it?

Uninstall the sound card and restart the computer to reinstall the sound card and drivers.
