No sound

Hi...I have no sound. Speakers are ok. Sound device enabled but not detected . Saying it is not started.how do I start it?color

Maybe re-install it if it is a card but if it is onboard then don't. Maybe you should give more details or something... I would clean install Windows again if I were you. :unch:

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

First, don`t reinstall windows.

Go HERE and read my post. You will notice a link to the free Everest programme. It will give you lots of info about your system.

Go into your device manager, and look to see if there are any yellow exclamation or question marks, next to your audio devices.

If you have onboard sound, go to your mobo manufacturers website and download the correct drivers for your onboard sound.

If you have a seperate soundcard then go to the soundcard manufacturers website, and download the drivers for your card.
