    Hello everyone,

I need your help again. :(

I am having this strange problem, except for the mouse & keyboard my computer doesn't detects any USB device

I have tried to switch mouse & keyboard to all the 8 ports and they do work. But nothing else except these two.

The thing is ... whenever I insert a device in the usb port, The computer does detects it with its proper name, But it asks for its software .. but there are no drivers for those devices, And if i still install the software CD it comes with, It doesn't works.

Please tell me the workaround for this problem.

Like i said it partly detects it (displays the proper device name) but still prompts for its software even if it doesn't comes with any.

    I'm on Windows XP Pro 64bit. SP2

    Here's my system config:

    Q6600 Processor
    Asus p5nesli mobo
    8800gt
    1gb ram

    Please help me.

    Thanks and regards

What does your BIOS report when you go into the BIOS at boot?
