No video after changing old PCIvideo card to new AGP video card

  1. I have an intel d845hv board. I took an older pci card out and put a new AGP card in and I get no video, well it flashes on for a second and then right back off. If I put the old video card back in, I can startup fine. I went into the bios and the video was already set to AGP. Ive tried removing the CMOS battery for awhile and then rebooting and I still get nothing. Any insite would be helpful. Thanks!

Did you remove the old card and drivers in device manager first? You may need to update your motherboard drivers too.

You might go into the setup screen, before Windows starts and change the video setting to use the AGP slot instead of the PCI.
