  1. Hello,

I am planning to buy a motherboard. I am not sure if I should buy one with NVIDIA AGP chipset or VIA AGP Chipset? Which chipset would be better for watching DVDs in particular?

I am considering Asus A7N400-MX mobo with the VIA KT400A chipset? Any views on this?

    Hi

When deciding betwixt a via 400 and a nforce2 sys, I say nforce.
Mem benches are usualy twice as high for the same mem speed and so on due the dual channel mem controller of the nf2. The via's are nice and all but for the same money why not get better performance? Get a nf2 that has the hardware sound, low cpu usage and nice audio quality.

    Some thoughts for you.

nforce 2 is a much better and faster chip then the VIA 400. there is a nother VIA chip that is nearly as good as the nforce but i forgot the name of it.
