One last try before laptop bites it.....

This Gateway M350WAN decided to die after my former employer used a jumpdisk to download files following my leaving the company. I used System MEchanic to clear the drive. However, I have never been able to reinstall XP after that. I have made several attempts and have taken it to firedog (who was going to charge me $200.00 to do what I had already done). Anyway, I either want to get it working or trash it. I used the Gateway disc. It does not recognize a HD and I get a setupdd.sys Page Fault in non paged area on blue screen. Technical Information

Buy a new hard drive for it and try the Gatway disc again

Just to clarify

So you are pretty sure it is the hard drive from the error messages?

The hard drive is the first thing to go after... Sell the laptop as is and save for a new one
