One modem two routers all Cascading

Hi
my setup is this :
-ADSL modem connected with:
2 IP cameras
router1
- router1 connected with:
router2
PC1
- router2 connected with:
PC2

all connected buy cable cat6
also I'm using the routers wifi for mobile devices.
what is the best settings for the routes so every PC/Mobile can access each other and the cameras.

Simple rewiring. As is, the two router create unique subnets and that causes issues for sharing.

if all devices would be on the same subnet, then print/file sharing will work.

FIRST: get your wifi setup using the existing layout. If both routers support wifi, then
  • give each a unique SSID
  • but share the same encrypt key to make life easy
Get into Router#2 config and DISABLE DHCP. This is what gives you the one subnet you need

now rewire like this:
Code:
modem-->(wan port)Router#1
                   +--(LAN port)---------(Lan port)Router#2
This leaves router#2 WAN empty

save everything and power off both routers.
Start router#1 and verify devices on it have Internet access.
Then start router#2 and verify those devices.

to see your efforts; control panel->network & sharing center
then click on See Full Map
all systems on both routers will show up :)

Thanks Jobeard for the simple explanation.
my modem have one WAN port and 4 LAN's(2 of them connected to IP cameras).
so router1 will be connected to witch port of the modem?
