I got that message on my old computer (compaq presario 1500) a few months ago and I've since bought a new computer (sony vaio). My question is: are my personal files (pictures, etc) still there on the old hard drive or have they been destroyed? And if they are still there how can I get them off and onto my new computer? Can I connect my old hard drive to my new computer?
I admit I'm not technical at all when it comes to computers and I'm broke so I'm looking for most easy and cheap way to do this (wishful thinking?)
