PC trouble

So, I was using my PC like normal and all of a sudden I got a BSOD and when I restart it said an overclock failed even though it has been running at the same speed for about 6 months. I change my processor to 3.0 from 3.2 and it runs fine for like 15 min before completely freezing up. I try restarting, I don't get anything on my monitor but all my fans are on and my G15 keyboard won't light up so I doubt it's my graphics card. I tried reseting the bios and that didn't do anything. I was thinking it's my power supply because a kind of similar thing happened when it broke before.
specs are Q9550, 4870, 4gbs of ocz reaper ram ddr2 1066, corsair 750w psu, asus p45

read the FAQs in the CPU forum about overclocking. also that is the appropriate forum for overclock questions.
