PCI-E 3.0 card on a 2.0 motherboard?

Hey guys as you know im building an PC to play Bf3 and I found a 3.0 card but my mobo is a 2.0 can I use that card on that Mobo?

Yes u can, but it will work as if it, the new video card, was 2.0.
