  1. When I first started using Picasa and downloading photos, the photos would also automatically get copied into Windows Live Photo Gallery and then I could right-click on a photograph in WLPG and "Set as Desktop Background" but now I cannot as it doesn't download my photos in both programmes, only Picasa. What do I need to do to get them downloading into both progammes in future?

My laptop operates on Vista Home Premium, Memory 3.00 GB and 32 bit operatng system and wireless broadband.

Hi, I believe the 'Live photo gallery' has been changed to 'Windows photo gallery 2012'.
As far as I know, any picture that you want as a desktop background has to be somewhere on your computer, rather than on a website.
So if you down load a picture from a website to your pc, the next time you start Picassa, it will scan and add new images to a folder, which you select, (in Picassa) Tools, Options, General tab, "Save imported pictures in" ..... (Normally "My Pictures").
Then from there you can right-click on any image and set as desktop background.
