Please check HJT log....

Hello once again.

My wife opened up IE this afternoon only to find that the homepage had been set to some really nasty porno site, saying that a site had been visited and there's nasties on the computer, blah blah blah. So, after going through the routine and not finding much, here's the final HJT log. Would you give it a look and let me know how it looks??

Your HJT log is clean. However, something`s not right.

Very Important: Before deciding whether you should clean or reformat your system, go and read this thread HERE and decide what it is you want to do.

If after reading the above, you wish to clean your system, do the following.

Go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, Combofix and AVG Antispyware logs as attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

Howard:

I did as instructed. Attached you'll find my AVG log, hjt log, and combofix log.

I fired up IE after going through all this earlier, and it took me to a page that said i was infected with a virus (I probably should have taken note of the url). However, after cleaning out my history, cookies, etc again, I was able to reset my homepage to yahoo, and haven't had a problem since. I don't know if that helps any, but that's what has happened. So far, everything seems ok to me...

Your HJT log is clean and Combofix got rid of some stuff as well.

Providing you`re not having any problems, I think you`re good to go.

If you have any further virus/spyware problems, please post in this thread.
