Hi I get a daily report from my router, and sometimes it's harder to understand.
Initializations come from another router, idk which. Can you help?

Here are others from this week. My router bridges to my modem.

You've started a number of threads about problems with your internet set up. Maybe look into changing your service provider and having a new router. It's not worth putting up with this if you are unable to stop or ignore the unwanted messages.

The router works fine actually but thank you so much for your response. It needs fixing often; I feel the logs point more to the answer than just jettisoning the machine. I'd like to pinpoint where the router starts behaving oddly so I can catch it faster. The service provider and other equipment functions well and doesn't seem to be the catalyst.

It's often possible to get a better deal by switching but at least you have a new hobby to occupy you. Try seeing what processes are kicking in when you boot up. There could be some software working behind the scenes at start up. It'd be easier just to ignore the messages though.

Thank you for replying. The processes of "turn off Wan (1), turn off Lan (0), turn on Wan (1)", really don't seem to have an effect on the router. But what does "daemon connection succeeded mean," please? When I log on it just says "initialization." Other than that it appears someone is trying to log into the USB settings on the router. That's the other bunch of acronyms on the log (screenshot at 9:18pm). But I'm sitting right here next to it, so there doesn't seem to be an issue there either? No USB connected unless there are interior ports. It's a Motorola MB 7621 and TPLink Wifi X1800 WiFi 6 Router (Archer AX21) –dual band wireless router. gigabit router.

It's working so that's the main thing. The possibility that someone else is using your connection is the main concern. Log in to the router's ip address via an internet browser and explore the settings being careful to note anything you change. A different password is a good idea and as you've already been advised avoid WEP. Understanding all the stuff in the logs isn't something you are likely to get help with.

It's a very long time since I had a separate modem and wireless router. My last few internet providers supplied a combined unit - so much easier to get to grips with.

I think it's something in the firmware. My first Mac had a 35MB hard drive, and this has 25MB of info saved on the router that I can't seem to erase. If the problems continue I'll take in the router.

Is it ok if my modem stays bridged to this route rn or should I put it back off bridge?
