  1. Ok, I ordered my stuff yesterday including the motherboard, and about 10 minutes after I ordered, the place where I get my stuff from has a new motherboard out for the same price. So I called them up and asked them if I could change my order if I called them again before saturday. So here I am, I need to know: Which motherboard is better?

    p965ltck http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813121048
    or
    g965ryck http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813121035

    The only difference I can see is the chipset, the fact that the second has on board graphics (which I wont need).

    Also, the second one doesnt support intel core 2 extreme.

    They are both the same price so it seems weird that the second has more features... Is this because the g965 chipset is cheaper or something or because it doesnt support extreme?

    Any replies would be hugely appreciated.

    Regards,

    Take my word and get the Second one, cuz its better for the system ur buildin,not big differences but the second one is stronger p's as u see CPU type {Intel Core 2 Extreme/Core 2 Duo/Pentium D/Celeron}

    Why are you getting intel board? GIGABYTE uses intel chipsets, any you can get a SLI mobo for 80$ for a Core 2 Duo.

    Thanks for your reply,

    As far as I can see, they first one is compatible with Intel Core 2 Extreme/Core 2 Duo/Pentium D/Celeron, not the second one.

    I can only get those 2 motherboards.

    EDIT: Sorry, I got the links the wrong way around:p, you are right. I think I will got for the "second" one.
