Please help... Video trouble

Well I'll tell it in a short way...
since last year my computer can't play video files -- it gets stuck every time I want to see a movie or something...
What do I do???

I'm not speaking about windows media player... I'm talking about every player known to man, and I forgot to say:
"I've downloaded and installed all codecs known to man-kind"

Do you receive any errors at all?

No' I don't receive errors but my computer just gets stuck... I try to move the mouse and nothing happens...

Go to Start>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Event Viewer and see if anything is reported there.

No you need to open the right hand logs, and check through them, finding anything at the time of the computer getting stuck.
