Windows 10 -

At a loss here: My primary password appears to be corrupted
- it rejects my correct information
- the enter-your-user-name-password dialog is showing up, seemingly, whenever it wants to -- open a new webpage, it shows up; attempting to open a password-protected WordPerfect doc, it shows up; etc., etc.
- Can't reset the primary password because it requires logging-on using that same password

Would like to just remove it, since it's proving to be a pointless process.

How does one delete a corrupted password process?

Thanks for any information. Appreciated.

If you are using a local account (not a Microsoft account) maybe you could create a 2nd Admin account. Log in to that new account and then use that to remove the password from the account you are having trouble with.

Having said all that, I don't believe Windows pops up a password requirement during use very often. Maybe this is password management software?

Solved: I merely removed the Primary/Master Password (which meant that all other saved logins were deleted, but that has just given me the opportunity to update everything).
