I am trying to copy my Windows settings from one XP machine to another and use the Files & Settings Wizard that comes with Windows. I can save them without any problem (this creates a folder 'usmt2.unc' which contains a .dat file and a status file) but when I try to import it using the same wizard it says that the location I selected (e.g. a network drive or a portable drive) 'does not contain stored information'.
The same happens with the Office Wizard. It comes with an error message 'the ops file cannot be read by the wizard'.
I use XP SP2 on both computers.
Any suggestions?
